Passionate Developer at Involved and Microsoft MVP
Johnny Hooyberghs is a consultant for Involved since 2014 focusing on .NET architecture and backend development and a Microsoft MVP since 2020. Prior to joining Involved, he has had experience developing software for Corilus since 2008. He has been passionate about .NET ever since it was released and his areas of expertise are C#, .NET (Core), WCF, WinForms, WPF, ASP.NET (Core), Entity Framework (Core), Azure and ALM using the Microsoft Stack. Every now and then he enjoys doing some web development using JavaScript. Since 2010, Johnny spends some of his free time teaching .NET and C# for the adult education institute CVO Antwerpen. When he's not working or teaching, he likes some casual gaming, scuba diving, learning to play the piano, travelling the world and visiting as many theme parks as possible.
CTO, Arrabiata Solutions GmbH
Christian Wenz is an author, trainer, and consultant. His main focus of working and writing is on web technologies and security. Christian has written or co–written over 100 books for various publishers. He works with both open source and closed source web technologies. This leads to the unusual situation that he has both been awarded a Microsoft MVP for ASP⁄ASP.NET and is the lead author of the Zend PHP certification. He is also listed in Mozilla's credits (about:credits) and contributes to several other open source projects. Apart from writing and working on web projects, Christian also frequently speaks at developer conferences around the globe that cover web technologies.
Software Developer at Amazon
I am Adam Furmanek and I am a professional software engineer for almost a decade. Right now I am at Amazon working with Big Data, Spark, and Machine Learning. I am always interested in digging deeper, exploring machine code and going through implementation details to better understand internals of the technologies I use every day. That's why I like debugging, decompiling and disassembling the code to understand memory models, concurrency problems and other details hidden deeply inside. In my free time I play ping-pong, watch Woody Allen's movies and blog stuff at http://blog.adamfurmanek.pl
.NET/C# and Firebird expert, MVP and speaker
Jiří Činčura is an independent developer and consultant focusing on data and business layers, language constructs, parallelism and databases.
He’s Microsoft MVP, maintains ADO.NET driver for Firebird (with EF and EF Core support) and blogs at https://www.tabsoverspaces.com.

Building cloud-native applications and services that will run in the cloud, both public and private, is an important decision to make in order to achieve continuous delivery, reliability, and faster time to market. In this session, we will talk about building cloud-native services for Azure, using the latest version of .NET. What are containers? What is all this Kubernetes talk? Should you use microservices for all your future projects? How do you manage your data? How do you implement logging, metrics and secret management?
Christian Wenz
According to a study, 9 out of 10 web applications have security vulnerabilities. However in this day and age, there is no real excuse for sites that can be easily attacked. .NET provides countermeasures against most common attacks, and modern web browsers include additional safeguards in form of HTTP headers and other security features.
Jiří Činčura
Over the last couple of versions on .NET and C#, both added (among others) performance oriented features. These are usually not for everyday use, but in specific cases can make a huge difference in performance. Sometimes even in a way that was very difficult to do previously. In this workshop I’ll teach you the most useful ways how to code with minimal overhead. We’ll also cover how to measure and compare our progress.

We all use asynchronous code and we have some understanding of the machinery behind it. It’s time to see how it works and learn why it’s hard to synchronously wait for asynchronous code, how to wait for async void methods, or how to debug deadlocks. We will see the code generated by the compiler, understand synchronization contexts and integration with TPL library, reimplement part of the mechanism to fix deadlocks, or just play with internals to understand them better.
